#11 - Upgrade System Development
Hey all, Dawson Turska here with an update on the game's development cycle. As part of our recent work, we have been continuing development on Shopkeeper's Tail, particularly on the side of programming. Recently, what we've been up to is incorporating a revised upgrade system to encourage players to spend resources collected in the Dungeons on upgrading the town of Radiant Hills.
In essence, what this will do is extend gameplay time in a fun direction, giving you incentive to hoard resources not just for sale, but for upgrading your lovely little shop, the town around it, and make your way to new areas!
In addition, we're currently working on providing the brave little mouse more hats, as part of the shopkeeping system.
Some of the concepts we've had in mind:
In the next few weeks, what we'll be doing is compiling a bunch of crafting recipes, putting together art, and bringing the item upgrade system to life! I personally look forward to the near future and what it will bring in terms of updates :)
